Martina Magenau Jacobs, her mother, was director of alumni relations at Heinz College for Carnegie Mellon University. She was raised by her father, William F. Jacobs Jr. Lebanon. She is a native of Lebanon. French German Irish Scottish and Scottish roots. Jacobs was the daughter of a family who owned the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery, which was founded by the family in Erie Pennsylvania 1847. John Martin Magenau Jr. served as the post as President and CEO of the company from 1978 until the brewery's closure in 1978. Jacobs was a performer since age of eight and attended Saturday classes in Pittsburgh Playhouse. After graduating from Mt. Jacobs left Lebanon High School to go to New York City in the year 2000. In New York City, she became part of in the Drama Division of Group 33. She earned a bachelor's degree in 2004 following having graduated at the Lebanon High School.
